ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
This week the DegreeArt.com gallery presents a collection of photography by students and recent graduates as part of its annual Photography Competition, ‘The Signature Photography Awards 2009’.
Every year DegreeArt.com uncovers the latest talent lurking in the dark rooms around the UK’s academic institutions, giving hopeful entrants the opportunity to exhibit their work, helping launch a career in the Creative Arts industry. This year was no exception and we have been overwhelmed with the quality of work and proficiency displayed by every entrant, unfortunately we could not exhibit them all but a big congratulations goes out to all those who took part and a huge thank you to our sponsors (Thames and Hudson & Yelp), our judges and all those that helped make the awards such a success.
Until the end of May visitors to the gallery can see twenty works across five compositional categories; Portraiture, Documentary, Fashion and Still Life, Landscape and Interiors and Experimental. The works presented have been selected by a panel of industry professionals (from prestigious Photographic institutions) as well as an online public vote and represent a snap shot of the conceptual talent and technical skill possessed by new Artists working within the medium.
